Can you legally get married in Komodo, Indonesia, as a foreigner?
A legally binding marriage in Indonesia for foreigners is involved — both partners must share the same religion, register through a civil or religious office, and provide documents such as a Certificate of No Impediment. For that reason most couples hold a beautiful symbolic ceremony on the cruise (vows, celebrant, rings, signing) and complete the legal paperwork at home before or after. Where exactly does the ceremony take place?
On the deck of a private phinisi anchored inside Komodo National Park, with the islands as your backdrop — or stepped ashore for the vows on Pink Beach or a quiet bay, with the boat as your reception venue afterwards. Padar Island at sunrise and sunset on open water are the two most-loved settings.
How far ahead should we book a 2027 Komodo wedding?
For 2027 we suggest six to twelve months. The best phinisi, the calm-season dates (roughly April to October) and your preferred celebrant and photographer all book out early. Send your rough window and we will hold the right boat and date while we plan the day with you.
What does a Komodo wedding cruise cost?
Every celebration is quoted per couple once we know your date, party size, the boat and the styling you want. A private elopement for two is far lighter than a full wedding package with a reception on deck. Tell us what you have in mind and we will send a clear, itemised quote — no off-the-shelf pricing.
Do you only do weddings, or proposals and anniversaries too?
